There’s not much I can put into words about Hokkaido that can’t be said better in pictures. It’s a huge prefecture of Japan of which I’ve barely scratched the surface, despite having driven hours and hours through its countryside. It’s a place I’ll want to visit again and again, in different seasons and different regions. It’s also the place where I had some of the best meals of my life, meals without any pretense and served in the simplest, freshest ways. It is the land of seafood after all.
